First 1954 Corvette Nomad I have ever seen. I'm sure it is a fake, but a very nice one.

She's still at it.

Today is only full of fun and games. This motel had a game room.

Grandpa must have had a great dream because he was probably dreaming of his precious little grandaughter because he has a great big smile on his face! I love that so much about him and he's the best grandpa in the world and he ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the great coasters at the Silverwood theme park in Coeur d' Alene. They also had a water park there with a couple of great wave pools. I almost died in the rip tide.

She's an old pro on this ride and didn't even get a surprised look while all of the others were screaming their lungs out! Two teenagers thought she was going to get scared on this ride but when they landed she just had a smirk on her face and they were surprised that she wasn't scared at all.

Maybe I'll be a long haul trucker.

We are traveling in some very dangerous territory.

Are you ready for the next "Karate Kid" sequal?

This was a great place to take a nap on this grassy knoll under the shade of this tree.

Palouse Falls sits in the middle of the eastern Washington desert. It was a refreshing stop in a very warm day.

In all of the years that I used to fish, I never had the pleasure of catching one like these. These rainbow trout were all in the 30" range and I'm guessing they were probably 7 or 8 lbs. Patience is trying to fatten them up a little more.

We had a nice visit with Herman the Sturgeon at the Bonneville fish hatchery.

Just keeping this motorcycle related :)

It is always the interactive children's areas that keep their attention. Here she is in a real helicopter. They had 15 flight simulators that they could practice their flying on and several working models that they could experiment with. She really like landing the jet on the aircraft carrier and missing with the tailhook on purpose. Probably a little early to sign her up for flying lessons!

We spent last night at my aunt and uncle's house and had no internet access. These are from a couple of days back now. Patience is standing next to a model of the Spruce Goose, and under the belly of the real thing. This plane is huge!

Hey Tony, Patience picked this one just for you.

I've always been amazed that this ship has remained here in the sand all these years. I paced it off and it was at least 300' long. Oh yeah, this is the "Wreck of the Peter Iredale" in case you didn't recognize it.

I see we are back at it !

This troll lies in wait under the Fremont bridge in Seattle. Fortunately I was able to rescue this girl from his eternal clutches!

It's a bird, it's a bug, no................it's Supergirl!

Woo Hoo, this coming down is a lot easier and really fun!!!!!!!

.................the top................

........then the scarry part...........

Then came the fun part............

We signed up in advance for a rock climbing lesson. The first thing they were shown was how to tie a knot that looked like a figure 8.

When we got here she was 4'10". Now I'm guessing about 175'.

I think there might be a future for her playing in a Saturday Market somewhere.

.....................I'll give you a suggestion or two!!!!!!!!!

She touched this critter for about 1\10th of a second but I couldn't talk her into putting her hand into the Sea Anenome (sp).

Our schedule (not that we have followed it very well in this weather) today takes us to the Pacific Science center. Here she is learning just how hard it is to burn a thousand calories in one hour. I tried it myself and while I was actually able to hit the 1000 calories per hour output, I was only able to maintain it for about 4.7 seconds. Not even a good bull ride.

It isn't only motorcycles that they trailer. This is a very rare car. The guys that brought this car to the show are trying to sell it. It is a 1972 GT that has been garaged since shortly after it was purchased. The fellow that bought it passed away after he had put only 532 miles on the vehicle. It still hasn't been started since it was parked. They are hoping to sell it for $25k.

I had a lot of fun with Troy because he played cars with me. It was the best day of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was thinking that this Opel car show would only keep her attention for a few minutes to maybe an hour or so. Then she met Troy, a young man that has a severe case of Opelitus and was happy to show her the workings of the GT.

This car is the one that Patience was hoping to see at the show. I think she likes Opels. She says this car "looks like a pretty lady or at least it looks like a pretty ladies car!"

.............pool!

Of course the evening would never be complete without a little bowling and.........

We are with Mitzi at a little restaurant ridht near the ferry landing. It sure is nice to enjoy some of these moderate coastal temps. The seafood was only average, but the setting was fantastic.

Well, maybe not all of the way. She always seems to find the arcades and this small one on board didn't evade her long. I think her exact words after securing the motorcycle on the parking deck were.........grandpa, I'm going to find every nook and cranny on this boat.

We took the ferry to Friday Harbor a day early (it was Thursday). Being the responsible grandpa, I made her wear this lifering the whole way.

I'm still trying to figure out why she wouldn't let me turn the crank.

We became official members of the self-kicking club in Rockport.

We hiked a short trail back from an overlook and the moss on the rocks made one think of an enchanted forest. Of course I had her on the lookout for badgers!

There are a lot of these reservoirs here with beautiful emerald green water. At the visitor center they said it is caused by minerals that are scraped off of the rocks by the sliding glaciers and then taken to the lakes by run-off.

These self portraits tend to show up when boredom is setting in :)

They say this is a beautiful highway to ride on a motorcycle. It just wasn't this day with all of the rain and the clouds covering most of the views.

Why did the turkey's cross the highway?

We weren't the only bikers in town.

I think this is the car they used to catch her dad in his younger days.

Downtown Winthrop, WA. Patience dad grew up here.
