I finally left this Sunday morning to the first rain I remember having this year. It delayed my start by a half hour because I didn't want to start out with a wet saddle. Five miles later things were hot and dry as usual. There are a lot of these badland type features in AZ, this one being north of Flagstaff a few miles.
